Job Overview
Spring of Hope Nigeria is seeking an experienced IT Specialist to manage the organization’s website and provide day-to-day technology support to staff and project teams.
The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the organization’s online presence, addressing technical issues, supporting workplace technology, and helping ensure that digital tools and IT equipment remain secure and functional.
Key Responsibilities
Website Management
- Update and maintain the organization’s website.
- Publish and update project information, news, resources, and other relevant content.
- Manage website security and perform regular backups.
- Monitor website hosting and resolve technical issues.
- Ensure the website remains functional, secure, and accessible.
IT Support
- Provide day-to-day technical support to staff.
- Troubleshoot computer hardware and software issues.
- Assist employees with email and internet connectivity problems.
- Support the use of workplace software and digital tools.
- Help users resolve common technology issues based on their level of technical experience.
IT Equipment and Digital Tools
- Help maintain IT equipment used across the organization.
- Support user account management.
- Assist with the maintenance of digital tools used across projects.
- Help ensure organizational technology resources remain available and functional.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of experience managing websites.
- Experience with WordPress or a similar website management platform is preferred.
- Practical experience troubleshooting computers, software, and internet connectivity.
- Knowledge of website security, backups, and hosting.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to provide technical support to colleagues with varying levels of technical knowledge.
- A qualification in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field is an advantage.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
- Ability to work independently and support multiple technology needs effectively.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal IT Specialist should combine practical website management skills with strong technical support capabilities. The candidate should be patient and able to explain technical issues clearly while maintaining the security and reliability of the organization’s digital systems.
Experience working with an NGO or development organization would be useful, although it is not specified as a mandatory requirement.
