Job Overview
Grace Court International Schools is seeking a passionate and dedicated Government Teacher to join its teaching team in Awka, Anambra.
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering effective Government lessons, managing the classroom, communicating effectively with students, and contributing to a positive learning environment.
Candidates should be self-driven, committed to teaching, and passionate about supporting students’ educational development.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging Government lessons in line with the school’s curriculum.
- Explain Government concepts clearly and effectively to students.
- Create a positive, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment.
- Manage classroom activities and maintain appropriate discipline.
- Assess students’ understanding and provide constructive feedback.
- Support students in achieving their academic goals.
- Maintain effective communication with students, colleagues, and relevant stakeholders.
- Participate in school activities and contribute to the wider academic environment.
- Prepare relevant teaching materials and classroom resources.
- Encourage students to develop critical thinking and a strong understanding of Government and civic concepts.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Minimum of a B.Ed., B.A., or B.Sc. in the relevant subject.
- Previous teaching experience will be an added advantage.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Good classroom management skills.
- Strong commitment to teaching and student development.
- Self-driven, dedicated, and passionate about education.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a teaching team.
- Candidates must reside in Awka, Anambra State.
