Job Overview

O’Spaces Nigeria Limited is seeking an experienced Experienced Maintenance Technician to support the maintenance and reliable operation of generators, construction machinery, and other equipment across its project sites.

The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining diesel and petrol generators, building construction machinery, and related equipment.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on diesel and petrol generators, concrete mixers, batching plants, and other construction equipment.
• Diagnose faults and carry out repairs, replacements, and adjustments on malfunctioning equipment.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests from project and site managers.
• Prioritise maintenance tasks based on urgency and operational impact.
• Maintain accurate records of inspections, repairs, maintenance activities, and completed work orders.
• Ensure all maintenance activities comply with applicable health and safety requirements.
• Collaborate with contractors and vendors when external expertise is required for repairs or installations.
• Assist in developing and implementing preventive maintenance programmes.
• Monitor equipment performance and recommend measures to improve reliability and extend equipment lifespan.
• Monitor inventory levels of maintenance supplies, tools, and equipment.
• Coordinate with procurement to ensure timely restocking of maintenance materials.
• Liaise with other departments in accordance with established procedures to support smooth operations.
• Perform other duties assigned by Management.

Requirements and Qualifications

Applicants should possess:

• HND or Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Proven experience as a maintenance technician or in a similar technical position.
• Previous experience in a building construction company or related environment is preferred.
• Strong practical troubleshooting and repair skills.
• Experience maintaining generators and construction machinery.
• Ability to diagnose and repair a wide range of equipment and maintenance problems.
• Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, maintenance equipment, and materials.
• Good understanding of workplace safety procedures.
• Physical fitness and ability to work across project sites, perform manual tasks, and lift heavy objects.
• Basic computer proficiency for maintaining maintenance records.

Experience in Generator Technician Jobs in Nigeria and construction equipment maintenance will be particularly relevant to this role.
