Job Overview
RMB Nigeria is seeking an experienced Operational Risk Analyst to join its Risk and Compliance Department.
The successful candidate will provide operational support to the Operational Risk Manager (ORM), helping to ensure that operational risk objectives are achieved across the organisation.
The role involves monitoring key risk indicators, supporting risk and control assessments, maintaining operational risk records, preparing reports, and participating in governance activities. It provides exposure to broad operational risk management activities within a banking environment.

Key Responsibilities
Key Risk Indicators (KRIs)
- Monitor entity-wide compliance with KRI capture and approval requirements.
- Track due dates and escalate outstanding or non-compliant items to the Operational Risk Manager.
- Monitor KRI breaches and ensure appropriate action plans are established.
- Support the ORM in organising KRI-setting and review sessions with business units.
PRCIA
- Support the ORM in organising PRCIA setting and review sessions with business units.
- Monitor the PRCIA review calendar and remind relevant stakeholders of upcoming reviews.
- Assist with the timely completion and reporting of PRCIA activities.
- Ensure items such as loss events and PRCIA records are promptly updated on OpenPages.
Operational Risk Reporting and Governance
- Prepare operational risk reports as assigned by the ORM or Chief Risk Officer (CRO).
- Log operational risk incidents on OpenPages.
- Ensure operational risk event logs are reviewed and approved within stipulated timelines.
- Participate in operational risk governance meetings.
- Provide administrative and operational support for Risk and Compliance activities.
- Undertake additional assignments as directed by the ORM or CRO.
Requirements and Qualifications
Applicants should possess:
- A relevant graduate degree.
- 2–5 years of relevant work experience, preferably in investment banking, accounting, audit, management consulting, or related fields.
- An interest in working within a small team and engaging with internal and external stakeholders.
- Understanding of operational risk management principles.
- Experience with Microsoft Excel and financial modelling.
- Knowledge of detailed income statement forecasting and scenario analysis.
- Experience with capital structure modelling and M&A modelling is beneficial.
