Blue Crescent Schools is recruiting to fill the position of English Language Teacher in Sokoto State.
Blue Crescent Schools is a co-educational private school located in the Mabera area of Sokoto. Established in 1996, the school provides a comprehensive educational programme from early childhood through senior secondary school.
The school is seeking a qualified and dedicated English Language Teacher who can support students’ academic development while contributing to their moral and personal growth.
Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be expected to:
- Teach English Language effectively according to the relevant curriculum.
- Prepare and deliver engaging lessons.
- Assess students’ learning and monitor their academic progress.
- Help students develop strong reading, writing, speaking and comprehension skills.
- Provide constructive feedback and additional support where required.
- Contribute to students’ academic and moral development.
- Use ICT tools to enhance classroom teaching and learning.
- Work collaboratively with other teachers and members of staff.
- Participate in school activities and programmes.
- Maintain a positive and supportive learning environment.
Requirements
Applicants should possess:
- NCE, B.Ed, HND or a Bachelor’s degree in English Language or a relevant subject.
- Strong knowledge of English Language and teaching principles.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Commitment to students’ academic and moral development.
- Ability to work effectively within a team.
- Ability to use ICT in teaching and learning.
- Previous teaching experience is an added advantage.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal English Language Teacher should have strong subject knowledge, excellent communication skills and the ability to create an engaging learning environment.
Candidates who can effectively integrate ICT into classroom activities and demonstrate previous teaching experience will be given preference.
