Machine Operator at Grand Oak Limited (GOL)
Grand Oak Limited (GOL) is a leading manufacturer of spirits and wines, producing a range of products with a focus on quality, authenticity, and efficient manufacturing operations.
The company is recruiting a Machine Operator to support production activities at its facility in Sango-Ota, Ogun State. The successful candidate will operate and monitor production machinery, perform routine maintenance checks, troubleshoot minor equipment issues, and maintain accurate production and machine performance records.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate production machinery according to established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Ensure efficient, accurate, and uninterrupted production processes.
- Carry out routine maintenance checks and monitor machinery performance.
- Develop and implement preventive and corrective maintenance schedules.
- Identify and resolve minor mechanical issues promptly to minimise downtime.
- Support continuous and efficient factory production by monitoring equipment performance.
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, including repairs, replacements, and inspections.
- Document machine performance and operational issues for effective troubleshooting and maintenance planning.
- Maintain accurate records of production activities, including material consumption and wastage.
- Report machine and production issues to supervisors promptly.
- Follow established safety and operational procedures within the production environment.
Qualification and Experience
- OND in Engineering is required.
- 1–3 years of relevant work experience.
- Practical understanding of production machinery and equipment maintenance.
- Ability to identify and troubleshoot minor mechanical problems.
- Good record-keeping and reporting skills.
- Ability to follow standard operating procedures and safety requirements.
- Attention to detail and commitment to efficient production.
