Job Description
The Test Analyst will play a key role in the software development lifecycle by ensuring that applications and systems meet the highest quality standards before deployment. The successful candidate will collaborate with software developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to identify defects, develop test plans, execute test cases, and improve software quality.
Key Responsibilities
As the Test Analyst, you will:
- Analyse business requirements and technical design documents to understand software functionality.
- Develop detailed test plans covering functionality, performance, usability, compatibility, and system reliability.
- Write comprehensive test cases for different business scenarios.
- Execute both manual and automated software tests.
- Identify, document, and report software defects with clear reproduction steps.
- Perform regression testing to verify that new changes do not affect existing functionality.
- Participate in Program Increment (PI) planning sessions and code reviews.
- Work closely with development teams to resolve software issues.
- Stay updated with the latest software testing methodologies, tools, and industry best practices.
Educational Qualification
Applicants should possess:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
- Relevant professional certifications will be an added advantage.
Experience
Candidates should have:
- Between 3 and 6 years of experience in software testing and quality assurance.
- Practical experience with software testing methodologies, including black-box testing and white-box testing.
