Job Overview
The Information Technology & Partnerships Supervisor will oversee the organization’s IT infrastructure while driving digital transformation initiatives and developing strategic partnerships that support business growth. The successful candidate will work closely with Information Technology, Business Development, Marketing, and Operations teams to improve operational efficiency, strengthen digital capabilities, and expand the company’s distribution network.
Key Responsibilities
Information Technology Management
The successful candidate will:
- Oversee the company’s IT infrastructure, systems, networks, and digital platforms.
- Ensure system availability, cybersecurity, data integrity, and regulatory compliance.
- Coordinate technology solutions that improve customer onboarding, underwriting, policy administration, claims management, and customer experience.
- Monitor IT performance and recommend system improvements.
- Support business intelligence through effective data management, reporting, and analytics.
- Implement business continuity, disaster recovery, and information security best practices.
Strategic Planning and Digital Transformation
- Develop IT strategies aligned with business objectives.
- Lead digital transformation initiatives to improve operational efficiency.
- Recommend innovative technology solutions that enhance competitiveness.
- Prepare and manage departmental budgets for IT and digital initiatives.
- Monitor emerging technologies and identify opportunities for business growth.
Digital Marketing and Business Development
- Develop and implement digital marketing strategies to increase customer acquisition.
- Coordinate digital marketing activities across multiple online platforms.
- Monitor campaign performance and optimize marketing initiatives.
- Support lead generation and customer retention programmes.
- Track digital sales performance against business targets.
- Collaborate with Marketing and Business Development teams to increase market share.
Reporting and Business Analytics
- Prepare weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual management reports.
- Present business performance reports to executive management.
- Monitor IT service delivery, partnership performance, and digital marketing effectiveness.
- Analyze customer behaviour, underwriting trends, and business performance.
- Provide recommendations based on business intelligence and market insights.
Leadership and Team Management
- Supervise the Information Technology team.
- Mentor and develop team members.
- Drive high performance through effective leadership.
- Promote innovation, collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
Qualifications
Applicants should possess:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
- A Master’s Degree will be an added advantage.
- Professional certifications such as ITIL, PMP, PRINCE2, Google Analytics, Digital Marketing, Microsoft, Cisco, AWS, or related certifications are highly desirable.
- Minimum of 5 to 7 years of progressive experience in Information Technology, Digital Transformation, Partnerships, Business Development, or related roles.
- Experience within the Insurance, Microinsurance, Financial Services, Fintech, or Microfinance sectors is highly preferred.
- Experience working with Cooperatives, Trade Associations, Microfinance Institutions (MFIs), or Financial Inclusion programmes will be an added advantage.
