Job Overview
The Social & Digital Media Marketing Officer will be responsible for planning and executing digital marketing campaigns that increase brand awareness, drive customer engagement, generate quality business leads, and promote the bank’s financial products and services. The successful candidate will also oversee the organization’s online presence across multiple digital platforms while ensuring brand consistency and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities
Digital Marketing Strategy
- Develop and implement digital marketing strategies aligned with business objectives.
- Create quarterly marketing plans for Savings Accounts, SME Loans, Fixed Deposits, Digital Banking, and other financial products.
- Prepare and manage monthly content calendars.
- Conduct market research and competitor analysis.
- Monitor emerging digital marketing trends.
Content Development and Brand Management
- Create engaging digital content including graphics, videos, reels, blogs, carousels, and live sessions.
- Write compelling marketing copy that informs and converts potential customers.
- Maintain consistent brand identity across all digital channels.
- Optimize content using SEO best practices, keywords, hashtags, and accessibility standards.
Social Media Management
- Manage the organization’s presence across Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, X (Twitter), YouTube, TikTok, WhatsApp Business, and other platforms.
- Build and engage online communities.
- Respond promptly to customer enquiries and manage online interactions.
Lead Generation and Business Growth
- Develop campaigns that generate leads for banking products and services.
- Track customer acquisition from digital platforms to account opening.
- Collaborate with Sales, Retail Banking, and Customer Service teams to convert leads.
- Monitor campaign performance using CRM systems, Google Analytics, UTM tracking, and social media analytics.
Digital Advertising
- Plan and optimize paid advertising campaigns across Meta, Google, LinkedIn, X, and other platforms.
- Conduct A/B testing to improve campaign performance.
- Manage advertising budgets to maximize return on investment.
Brand Reputation Management
- Monitor online conversations and protect the organization’s reputation.
- Identify fake accounts, scams, and impersonation pages.
- Publish fraud awareness and customer education campaigns.
Stakeholder Collaboration
- Work closely with Marketing, Corporate Communications, Digital Banking, Customer Service, Compliance, Sustainability, Retail Banking, and HR teams.
- Support employer branding, CSR campaigns, product launches, and corporate events.
Performance Reporting
- Prepare weekly and monthly performance reports.
- Measure campaign effectiveness using key digital marketing metrics.
- Recommend improvements based on performance analytics.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
Performance will be measured based on:
- Growth of followers and online communities.
- Reach, impressions, engagement, shares, and video views.
- Website traffic from social media platforms.

Qualifications
Applicants should possess:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Mass Communication, Business Administration, Digital Marketing, Public Relations, or a related discipline.
- 4 to 6 years of experience in Social Media Marketing, Digital Marketing, or Content Marketing within banking, fintech, financial services, or consumer goods.
- Professional Digital Marketing certifications will be an added advantage.
