Role Overview
The IT Technician (Support and Operations) will be responsible for maintaining day-to-day IT operations, supporting users, and ensuring that hardware, software, and network infrastructure function efficiently. The ideal candidate should possess strong troubleshooting skills, excellent communication abilities, and a commitment to delivering reliable technical support.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will:
- Provide first-line technical support for hardware, software, connectivity, and user access issues.
- Monitor and maintain daily IT infrastructure, including devices, networks, and basic system configurations.
- Process user access requests while maintaining strict security standards.
- Log, monitor, and escalate technical issues beyond assigned responsibilities.
- Perform routine maintenance, device setup, system checks, and basic backup operations.
- Assist software engineers and team leaders during deployments, upgrades, and incident response activities.
Requirements
Applicants should possess:
- A solid understanding of networking fundamentals, operating systems, computer hardware, and IT troubleshooting.
- One (1) to two (2) years of relevant IT support experience or strong practical technical skills.
- The ability to diagnose and resolve common technical issues, including connectivity, device, user access, and system configuration problems.
