Job Summary

The successful candidate will provide technical support for electrical systems and equipment, handle complex troubleshooting and maintenance activities, and contribute to maintenance, turnaround, and new project operations.

The Experienced Electrical Engineer – Oil and Gas will also support the implementation of maintenance strategies and provide technical guidance and mentorship to other team members.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide technical support for electrical equipment, systems, and installations.
• Perform complex electrical troubleshooting and maintenance activities.
• Support routine and preventive maintenance programmes.
• Participate in maintenance, turnaround, and new project activities.
• Implement effective maintenance strategies for electrical equipment.
• Diagnose electrical faults and recommend appropriate corrective actions.
• Support the safe and reliable operation of electrical systems.
• Work with relevant technical teams to resolve electrical and equipment-related issues.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members.
• Ensure maintenance activities and work orders are properly documented.
• Support the use of maintenance management systems for planning and tracking electrical maintenance activities.

Requirements and Qualifications

• 5–7 years of experience in an engineering firm or the Oil & Gas industry.
• Strong knowledge of high-voltage (HV) and low-voltage (LV) power distribution systems.
• Good knowledge of motor drives, alternators, inverters, switchgear, breakers, and electrical protection systems.
• Good understanding of Electrical, Instrumentation, and Control logic diagrams.
• Experience using CMMS/SAP for work orders and maintenance activities.
• Good understanding of instrumentation and mechanical systems.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a technical and industrial environment.
• Previous FPSO experience is an added advantage.

Technical Skills
