Job Summary
Philban Consulting Limited is seeking a proactive, people-oriented, and results-driven Human Resource Manager to support its recruitment and HR operations.
The successful candidate will be responsible for sourcing, attracting, screening, interviewing, and recruiting qualified candidates for various positions. The role also involves maintaining a strong talent pipeline, supporting employee onboarding, managing HR records, and contributing to employee engagement and other HR activities.
Experience in recruitment, sales recruitment, microfinance, lending, fintech, or financial services will be an advantage.

Key Responsibilities
Recruitment and Talent Acquisition
- Source and attract qualified candidates for various positions within the company.
- Develop and maintain a strong pipeline of potential candidates.
- Advertise job vacancies on social media, job boards, recruitment platforms, and other relevant channels.
- Proactively source candidates through LinkedIn, Facebook, WhatsApp, referrals, networking, and other channels.
- Screen CVs and applications to identify suitable candidates.
- Conduct initial interviews and assess candidates against company requirements.
- Coordinate interviews between candidates and hiring managers.
- Recruit field officers, loan officers, marketers, customer service personnel, and other employees as required.
- Build effective recruitment strategies to support business growth.
- Maintain strong relationships with potential candidates and talent sources.
Candidate Management and Onboarding
- Maintain an up-to-date database of applicants and prospective candidates.
- Conduct reference and background checks where necessary.
- Follow up with candidates throughout the recruitment process.
- Prepare recruitment reports and provide regular updates on hiring activities.
- Assist with the onboarding and orientation of newly recruited employees.
- Ensure new employees receive the necessary information and support during onboarding.
HR Administration
- Maintain accurate employee records and HR documentation.
- Support employee engagement initiatives.
- Monitor attendance and employee performance as required.
- Assist with other HR administrative activities.
- Help ensure that HR policies and procedures are properly implemented.
- Maintain confidentiality when handling employee and candidate information.
- Support conflict resolution and effective workplace communication where necessary.
Relationship Building
- Build relationships with recruitment agencies, educational institutions, communities, professional networks, and other talent sources.
- Use effective Talent Acquisition Jobs strategies to identify and attract qualified professionals.
- Develop and maintain a reliable network of candidates for current and future vacancies.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree or HND in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, Industrial Relations, or a related field.
- 4–8 years of experience in recruitment or HR, preferably in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong ability to source and identify qualified candidates independently.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Good interviewing and candidate-assessment skills.
- Ability to use social media and online platforms effectively for recruitment.
- Strong organisational and follow-up skills.
- Ability to work with recruitment targets and deadlines.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office and basic HR tools.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive employee information professionally.
