Cashier / Accounts Officer at Addoz Integrated Resources
Addoz Integrated Resources is recruiting on behalf of its client, an agro company, to fill the position of Cashier / Accounts Officer in Ogijo, Ogun State.
The successful candidate will join the Finance and Accounts team and handle cash transactions, payment processing, reconciliations, financial documentation and routine accounting activities.
This opportunity is suitable for an experienced finance professional with strong numerical skills, attention to detail and practical knowledge of cash handling and accounting procedures.
Job Summary
The Cashier / Accounts Officer will be responsible for accurately processing and recording financial transactions while supporting the company’s accounting operations.
The ideal candidate should have good knowledge of cash handling, reconciliation, financial record-keeping and basic accounting procedures. Experience in the agro or manufacturing industry will be an added advantage.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will:
- Receive and process cash, POS payments, bank transfers and other forms of payment.
- Issue receipts and maintain accurate transaction records.
- Reconcile daily cash collections and ensure proper documentation.
- Prepare daily cash, sales and transaction reports.
- Monitor and maintain records of cash inflows and outflows.
- Ensure all payments and financial transactions are properly authorized and documented.
- Assist with bank deposits, withdrawals and other banking transactions when required.
- Identify, investigate and report discrepancies in cash or financial records.
- Maintain organized files for receipts, payment records and other financial documents.
- Support the Accounts team with routine accounting and reconciliation duties.
- Assist with finance-related administrative tasks.
- Perform other duties assigned by management.
Requirements
Applicants should possess:
- OND, HND or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or a related discipline.
- 2–3 years of relevant experience in cashiering, accounting or a similar finance role.
- Good knowledge of cash handling and reconciliation.
- Understanding of basic accounting procedures and financial record-keeping.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Experience using accounting or POS software.
- Strong numerical and analytical skills.
- Good problem-solving abilities.
- High level of accuracy, honesty and integrity.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Previous experience in the agro or manufacturing industry is an added advantage.
Salary
The successful candidate will earn N150,000 – N200,000 monthly.
