Job Summary
The Head, Non-Core Application Support will provide strategic leadership and operational oversight for all non-core banking applications within the bank.
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the availability, performance, maintenance, optimization, and continuous improvement of enterprise applications, including ERP systems, HR platforms, regulatory reporting tools, and business productivity applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the Non-Core Application Support team.
- Provide performance oversight, resource planning, and capacity management.
- Oversee administration, maintenance, and support of enterprise applications.
- Develop and implement application support strategies and service level agreements (SLAs).
- Establish escalation frameworks and incident management procedures.
- Serve as the primary liaison between IT, business units, and third-party vendors.
- Manage vendor relationships, support contracts, and SLA compliance.
- Oversee application upgrades, patch management, and lifecycle management.
- Ensure application availability and business continuity through disaster recovery planning.
- Identify opportunities to optimize, consolidate, or retire legacy applications.
- Collaborate with enterprise architecture teams to align systems with the bank’s technology roadmap.
- Prepare performance reports, incident analyses, and improvement plans for senior management.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and governance requirements.
- Drive user satisfaction and continuous service improvement initiatives.
Educational Requirements
Candidates must possess:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
- A Master’s Degree or MBA will be an added advantage.
Professional Certifications
Applicants should possess:
- ITIL Foundation or ITIL Expert Certification (mandatory).
- Relevant application-specific certifications will be an added advantage.
Experience Requirements
Interested candidates should have:
- Seven to ten years of experience in IT application support.
- At least three years of management or leadership experience.
