Job Summary
The Human Resources Officer will support the complete employee lifecycle, from recruitment and onboarding to performance management and employee engagement.
This position is ideal for candidates interested in developing a long-term career in Human Resources. Previous HR job titles are not mandatory, and NYSC experience in HR or administrative functions is considered relevant experience.
Key Responsibilities
Recruitment and Onboarding
- Manage end-to-end recruitment activities for assigned business units.
- Coordinate job postings, candidate screening, interview scheduling, and offer administration.
- Facilitate onboarding activities for new employees.
Employee Records Management
- Maintain accurate employee records, personnel files, and HR databases.
- Ensure proper documentation and compliance with company policies.
Compliance and HR Administration
- Support compliance with Nigerian labour laws and multi-country regulatory requirements.
- Administer HR policies and procedures across business operations.
Performance Management
- Coordinate probation reviews and quarterly performance assessments.
- Support disciplinary procedures and exit management processes.
Payroll and Benefits Administration
- Process payroll-related inputs.
- Manage HMO enrolment and employee benefit administration.
- Support pension administration and leave management processes.
Reporting and Workforce Analytics
- Track employee headcount, staff movements, and attrition rates.
- Prepare monthly HR reports for management decision-making.
Learning and Development
- Conduct training needs assessments.
- Coordinate employee learning and development initiatives.
Employee Relations
- Serve as the first point of contact for employee inquiries regarding policies, procedures, and benefits.
- Support employee engagement and internal communication initiatives.
Requirements
Interested candidates should possess:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Social Sciences, Humanities, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
- Zero to three years of experience in HR, administration, or a people-facing role.
- NYSC experience in HR or administrative functions will be considered relevant experience.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
- High level of professionalism, confidentiality, and discretion.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
Added Advantage
The following qualifications and skills will be beneficial:
- CIPM student membership or part qualification.
- Experience using HR software platforms.
