Job Summary
The Shop Floor Manager will be responsible for ensuring the smooth daily operation of the shop. This includes preparing the shop for business, attending to customer enquiries, coordinating incoming stock and deliveries, monitoring inventory, and maintaining an organized and efficient shop environment.
The successful candidate will also handle operational issues and ensure that customer orders are processed and dispatched appropriately.
Key Responsibilities
The Shop Floor Manager will perform the following duties:
- Daily Shop Operations: Oversee daily shop floor activities and ensure the shop is ready for business each morning.
- Customer Service: Respond to customer enquiries, phone calls, and follow-up requests professionally.
- Stock Management: Receive incoming stock, coordinate its handling, monitor stock movement, and maintain accurate inventory records.
- Order Coordination: Process customer orders and coordinate dispatch through courier services.
- Shop Organization: Keep the shop floor neat, organized, and efficient throughout business hours.
- Issue Resolution: Resolve customer complaints and operational challenges or escalate them when necessary.
- Recordkeeping: Maintain accurate shop and stock records using basic computer applications.
- Operational Accountability: Take responsibility for the smooth running of daily shop activities and ensure tasks are completed efficiently.
Requirements and Qualifications
