Sun King, formerly Greenlight Planet, is recruiting a Business Development Associate to support business growth across West and Central Africa. The successful candidate will identify new B2B sales opportunities, develop qualified prospects, manage the sales pipeline, onboard partners, and support business development activities across the region.
This Business Development Associate position is ideal for a commercially driven professional with strong prospecting, presentation, networking, and relationship-management skills, as well as expert-level French language proficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Research, identify, and qualify potential business partners across West and Central Africa.
- Gather and analyse relevant information about prospective partners and their businesses.
- Maintain an accurate and up-to-date database of qualified prospects.
- Support the Business Development team with pipeline administration and follow-up activities.
- Conduct physical and virtual meetings with prospective clients.
- Deliver product demonstrations, training sessions, and partner onboarding activities.
- Collaborate with internal teams to resolve client requests and ensure smooth partner onboarding.
- Network with industry professionals, associations, and potential partners.
- Monitor industry trends, business opportunities, and ongoing bids across the region.
- Prepare compelling client proposals and support bid applications.
- Travel as required to support regional business development activities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree or HND from an accredited institution.
- Minimum of 3–4 years of post-NYSC experience in Business Development or a related role.
- Expert-level fluency in French, both written and spoken.
- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
- Strong data mining and prospecting abilities.
- Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Good planning and organisational skills.
- Willingness and ability to travel as required.
