Pecroyal Educonsult is recruiting on behalf of its client school in Surulere, Lagos, as the school expands its teaching team.
The school is looking for passionate, competent, and dedicated Phonics Teachers who are committed to helping children develop strong literacy skills while building their confidence, character, and overall development.
The successful candidate should be passionate about working with children and capable of delivering engaging, creative, and child-centred lessons in a supportive classroom environment.
Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging and age-appropriate phonics lessons.
- Support pupils in developing strong reading, pronunciation, and literacy skills.
- Create creative and child-centred learning experiences.
- Provide academic support while helping pupils develop confidence and positive character.
- Maintain effective classroom management.
- Monitor pupils’ progress and provide appropriate support where necessary.
- Work collaboratively with other teachers and members of the school team.
- Respond positively to feedback and participate in continuous professional development.
- Maintain professionalism, punctuality, accountability, and integrity at all times.
Requirements
- NCE, B.Ed, B.A., B.Sc. in Education, or a relevant field.
- Relevant teaching experience is an advantage.
- Strong passion for teaching and child development.
- Ability to deliver engaging and creative lessons.
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
- Patient, nurturing, and confident personality.
- Professional and accountable approach to work.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Receptive to feedback and committed to continuous professional growth.
- Ability to support pupils academically while intentionally developing their character and confidence.
