Job Summary
The Zamfara State Primary Health Care Board is inviting applications from suitably qualified candidates for the position of Senior Community Health Extension Worker (SCHEW).
The successful candidate will support primary healthcare delivery and community health services across Zamfara State. Candidates should be prepared to work in rural communities and may be deployed to healthcare facilities or locations anywhere within the state.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide community-based primary healthcare services in assigned locations.
- Support health promotion, disease prevention, and community health education activities.
- Assist with maternal, child, and general community healthcare services.
- Support health outreach programmes and other primary healthcare initiatives.
- Maintain accurate patient and community health records.
- Work with other healthcare professionals to improve healthcare delivery at the community level.
- Participate in health campaigns, immunization activities, and other approved public health programmes.
- Follow applicable healthcare, safety, and professional practice standards.
- Be willing to work in rural communities and accept deployment to any location within Zamfara State.
Requirements
Applicants for the Senior Community Health Extension Worker (SCHEW) position must possess:
- Appropriate SCHEW certification from a recognized institution.
- A valid professional practising licence.
- Ability to work effectively in community and primary healthcare settings.
- Willingness to serve in rural areas and be deployed anywhere within Zamfara State.
