Job Summary
The Procurement Manager will lead end-to-end procurement activities, including strategic sourcing, commercial lease negotiations, vendor onboarding, contract management, and nationwide branch expansion projects. The role is responsible for ensuring timely, cost-effective, and high-quality procurement processes while supporting Moniepoint’s rapid growth across Nigeria.
Key Responsibilities
Real Estate Procurement & Site Acquisition
- Identify and evaluate commercial properties suitable for branch offices.
- Lead lease negotiations to secure favorable commercial terms.
- Collaborate with legal teams and estate surveyors to complete property due diligence.
- Assess property suitability for refurbishment and branch operations.
Strategic Sourcing & Vendor Management
- Develop procurement strategies for nationwide branch expansion.
- Build and maintain a pre-qualified vendor database.
- Standardize supplier pricing for construction and branded materials.
- Establish partnerships with local and international suppliers to minimize supply chain risks.
Cost Control & Technical Collaboration
- Work closely with architects, quantity surveyors, and facilities teams.
- Review Bills of Quantities (BOQs) and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Conduct market research and maintain updated pricing records.
Specialized Infrastructure Procurement
- Source security infrastructure, power systems, HVAC equipment, and specialized banking facilities.
- Manage procurement for surveillance systems, server rooms, fire suppression systems, and alternative energy solutions.
Contract & Tender Management
- Prepare Invitations to Tender (ITTs) and Request for Proposals (RFPs).
- Negotiate contracts, payment terms, guarantees, and service level agreements.
- Ensure vendor compliance with regulatory and statutory requirements.
Logistics & Project Delivery
- Coordinate logistics for furniture, fixtures, and equipment across Nigeria.
- Support facility handovers by ensuring operational assets are delivered with warranties and documentation.
Requirements
Applicants should possess:
- 5–10 years of progressive procurement and strategic sourcing experience.
- Strong background in commercial real estate acquisition and lease negotiation.
- Experience within banking, fintech, construction, or large infrastructure projects.
- Bachelor’s degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Estate Management, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
- Professional certifications such as CIPS, CIPSMN, or NIESV are an added advantage.
Required Skills
Successful candidates should demonstrate:
- Strong commercial real estate knowledge.
- Experience interpreting Bills of Quantities (BOQs).
- Excellent contract negotiation skills.
