Job Summary
The Key Stage 1 (KS1) Teacher will be responsible for creating an engaging, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment that promotes academic excellence, creativity, critical thinking, and personal development. Key Responsibilities
As a Key Stage 1 (KS1) Teacher, you will:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging, creative, and well-structured lessons aligned with curriculum objectives.
- Inspire pupils to achieve high academic standards while supporting their social, emotional, and moral development.
- Create a safe, stimulating, and child-centred classroom environment that encourages curiosity, creativity, and independent learning.
- Maintain effective classroom management and promote positive pupil behaviour.
- Assess, monitor, record, and report pupils’ academic progress accurately.
- Differentiate teaching strategies to meet the individual learning needs of pupils.
- Integrate educational technology and innovative teaching methods into classroom activities.
- Build strong relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues.
- Participate actively in school programmes, extracurricular activities, staff meetings, and professional development sessions.
- Uphold safeguarding policies and maintain the highest standards of child protection.
Requirements
To qualify for this Key Stage 1 (KS1) Teacher position, applicants should possess:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Education or a related discipline.
- A PGDE and TRCN certification will be an added advantage.
- Relevant teaching experience in a reputable nursery or primary school.
- Classroom support experience is desirable for Assistant Teacher applicants.
- Excellent knowledge of both the British and Nigerian curricula.
- Outstanding classroom management and lesson delivery skills.
- Strong written and spoken English communication skills.
- A confident, energetic, and professional personality.
- Genuine passion for teaching and working with children.
- Excellent organisational, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Sound ICT skills with the ability to use educational technology effectively.
- High ethical standards, integrity, accountability, and professionalism.

- Residence within the Lekki axis or nearby locations.
- Ability to resume work immediately.
