Job Summary
The DevOps & Cloud Engineer will design, implement, and maintain secure, scalable cloud infrastructure while supporting software development and deployment processes. The successful candidate will automate infrastructure, optimize CI/CD pipelines, improve system reliability, and collaborate with development teams to deliver high-performing applications.
Key Responsibilities
As a DevOps & Cloud Engineer, you will:
- Design, implement, and maintain scalable and secure cloud infrastructure using AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Build, manage, and optimize Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar technologies.
- Monitor system performance, availability, and reliability while responding to incidents and conducting root-cause analysis.
- Deploy and manage containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes.
- Collaborate with software engineers to improve application deployment and performance.
- Strengthen infrastructure security through access controls, secrets management, and vulnerability remediation.
- Manage configuration consistency across development, staging, and production environments.
- Participate in on-call support and incident response activities.
- Maintain infrastructure documentation, operational processes, and technical runbooks.
Requirements
To qualify for this DevOps & Cloud Engineer position, applicants should possess:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), or Cloud Engineering.
- Hands-on experience with at least one major cloud platform (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or Pulumi.
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Strong scripting skills using Python, Bash, or Go.
- Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, or CircleCI.
- Solid understanding of networking, cloud security, and system administration.
- Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, or the ELK Stack.
Preferred Qualifications
The following will be an added advantage:
- Cloud certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect or Microsoft Azure Administrator.
- Experience with GitOps tools such as ArgoCD or Flux.
- Knowledge of configuration management tools including Ansible, Chef, or Puppet.
- Experience working in regulated or highly compliant environments.
- Knowledge of cloud cost optimization and governance best practices.
