Job Summary

The Dependable Maintenance Personnel will be responsible for maintaining the hotel’s facilities, equipment, and essential systems to ensure a safe, functional, and comfortable environment for guests and staff. The role involves carrying out preventive maintenance, responding to repair requests, and supporting the smooth operation of hotel facilities.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will:

• Carry out routine inspections and preventive maintenance on hotel equipment.
• Maintain electrical systems, plumbing installations, HVAC systems, and other facilities.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests from guests and hotel staff.
• Repair or replace faulty equipment, fixtures, and fittings.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inventory.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Assist in setting up facilities and equipment for hotel events and functions.
• Report major maintenance issues and safety hazards to the Maintenance Supervisor or Manager.
• Keep the maintenance workshop and storage areas clean and organized.
• Provide technical support to other departments when required.

Requirements

Applicants should possess:

• OND, HND, or vocational/technical training in Electrical, Mechanical, Plumbing, or a related field.
• Previous experience in hotel, facility, or property maintenance is preferred.
• Good knowledge of electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and mechanical systems.
• Ability to read and understand technical manuals and safety procedures.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Physical fitness with the ability to lift equipment and work in different conditions.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Willingness to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and public holidays.
