Job Overview
The ICT Officer will be responsible for maintaining the organisation’s IT infrastructure, providing technical support to employees, ensuring network reliability, safeguarding company data, and supporting business operations through efficient technology services.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will:
- Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware and software.
- Manage and monitor network infrastructure and internet connectivity.
- Provide technical support to users across various departments.
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, and system-related issues.
- Implement and monitor data backup and recovery procedures.
- Ensure system security and protect company data from unauthorised access.
- Manage email systems and user accounts.
- Support POS systems, inventory management software, and accounting applications.
- Coordinate software upgrades and routine system maintenance.
- Maintain ICT asset registers and equipment records.
- Train employees on the proper use of technology systems.
- Prepare periodic ICT maintenance and performance reports.
Qualifications
Applicants should possess:
- Bachelor’s Degree or Higher National Diploma (HND) in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of three years’ relevant experience in ICT support or systems administration.
- Professional certifications such as CCNA, Microsoft Certification, or CompTIA will be an added advantage.
