About the Role
The Sales Manager will lead and expand Pack N Pay’s B2C sales operations across Lagos, Abuja, Port Harcourt, and future locations. The successful candidate will develop sales strategies that increase customer acquisition, expand market reach, and drive adoption of the company’s Pay Small Small (Osusu) financing solution.
This position requires a strategic leader who can build high-performing sales teams while maintaining an active presence in the field.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Strategy and Business Growth
- Develop and execute sales strategies aligned with business growth objectives.
- Drive customer acquisition, revenue growth, and market expansion.
- Identify new customer segments and business opportunities.
- Develop territory and cluster-based sales plans.
- Establish sales processes and performance frameworks across regions.
Team Leadership
- Lead, coach, mentor, and supervise Sales Supervisors and Sales Agents.
- Build a high-performance sales culture focused on accountability.
- Set sales targets and monitor team performance.
- Conduct performance reviews and field coaching sessions.
- Support recruitment, onboarding, and training of new sales staff.
Market Expansion
- Lead grassroots and community-based sales campaigns.
- Build partnerships that support customer acquisition.
- Monitor market trends and competitor activities.
- Expand the company’s presence in existing and emerging markets.
- Directly oversee sales activities within the Port Harcourt region.
Consumer Finance Sales
- Promote the company’s Pay Small Small (Osusu) solution.
- Develop installment-based sales strategies.
- Work closely with Operations and Customer Experience teams to improve customer onboarding.
- Monitor repayment performance and portfolio quality.
- Ensure sustainable sales growth while maintaining healthy customer repayment behavior.
Performance Reporting
- Monitor sales KPIs across all regions.
- Track customer acquisition, conversion rates, revenue, and productivity.
- Analyze sales performance and market trends.
- Prepare weekly, monthly, and quarterly sales reports.
- Present business updates and recommendations to management.
Stakeholder Collaboration
- Work closely with Finance, Operations, Marketing, Customer Experience, and Inventory teams.
- Ensure sales initiatives align with operational capacity.
- Support promotional campaigns and marketing activities.

Requirements
Applicants should possess:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Economics, or a related discipline.
- An MBA or relevant professional certification will be an added advantage.
- 5 to 7 years of experience in B2C sales, FMCG, retail, consumer finance, fintech, microfinance, or related industries.
- At least 3 years of experience managing B2C sales teams across multiple locations.
- Proven record of consistently achieving sales targets.
- Strong experience in community-based and grassroots sales.
- Experience with installment sales, consumer finance, hire purchase, or microfinance is highly desirable.
- Strong leadership and people management skills.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management abilities.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM software.
- Willingness to travel regularly across assigned regions.
