R-DATS Consulting, a research, evaluation, data collection, and statistical services firm, is recruiting for the position of Survey Data Analyst (NYSC) Intern in Abuja. The opportunity is designed for NYSC Corps Members seeking practical experience in research, surveys, data management, Data Analysis, and monitoring and evaluation.
The Survey Data Analyst will support research and evaluation projects across areas including health, WASH, food security and nutrition, education, peace and reconciliation, green energy, financial inclusion, consumer protection, and humanitarian efforts.

Job Responsibilities
The successful candidate will support R-DATS Consulting’s research, monitoring, evaluation, and project development activities.
Key responsibilities include:
- Assist with baseline studies, impact evaluations, mid-term reviews, and other research activities.
- Help draft data collection tools and research instruments.
- Support field data collection, data entry, validation, and cleaning.
- Follow established data quality protocols during collection and cleaning.
- Identify bottlenecks affecting project activities and help develop solutions.
- Support data collation, basic Data Analysis, visualization, reporting, and dissemination.
- Assist with identifying business opportunities and developing Expressions of Interest (EOIs).
- Support the preparation and submission of research proposals.
- Contribute to research reports, success stories, lessons learned, and research communication materials.
- Support day-to-day research activities in line with project implementation plans.
- Perform other duties assigned by the supervisor.
Requirements
Applicants should have:
- BSc or HND in Statistics, Sociology, Demography, Psychology, Public Health, Public Policy, International Development, or a related field.
- Previous experience in research, Data Analysis, Data Visualization, or monitoring and evaluation is desirable but not mandatory.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to data quality.
- Cultural sensitivity and the ability to work with diverse groups.
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and solve problems effectively.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong quantitative skills and familiarity with data programming, visualization, and statistical software.
Preferred Technical Skills
Familiarity with any of the following tools will be an advantage:
- Stata
- SPSS
- R
- Tableau
- NVivo
- ATLAS.ti
- Power BI
- ODK
- SurveyCTO
Knowledge of qualitative research processes and experience working with large secondary datasets such as MICS, DHS, or NARHS will also be an advantage.

Applicants must have been deployed to Abuja or have plans to redeploy to Abuja for their NYSC service year.
