Job Summary
Rise Networks is seeking a creative and digitally savvy Content Creator to develop compelling content for its social media platforms. The successful candidate will help grow the organization’s online community, increase brand visibility, and create meaningful connections with its audience.
The role is particularly suited to someone who understands youth culture, digital storytelling, social media trends, and how to create platform-specific content that is both engaging and educational.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, create, and schedule text, images, videos, reels, and carousel content across Instagram, Facebook, X (Twitter), LinkedIn, and TikTok.
- Develop content that reflects Rise Networks’ brand voice and resonates with young audiences.
- Monitor emerging social media trends, challenges, and formats and identify opportunities for relevant content.
- Collaborate with designers, video editors, and the marketing team to deliver cohesive campaigns.
- Monitor audience feedback and respond appropriately to comments and messages.
- Track engagement and content performance across social media platforms.
- Develop content calendars and ensure consistent execution.
- Adapt content formats, messaging, and tone to suit different social media platforms.
- Turn creative briefs into effective, platform-native content strategies.
- Ensure trending content maintains educational value and aligns with the organization’s objectives.
Performance Metrics / KPIs
Performance will be assessed based on:
- Growth in followers and engagement rates, including likes, shares, saves, and comments.
- Consistent posting and effective content calendar execution.
- Reach and impressions across different content types.
- Audience feedback and responsiveness.
- Quality, relevance, and consistency of published content.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Proven experience creating content for social media, with a portfolio or samples required.
- Strong writing and captioning skills with a smart, witty, and brand-appropriate style.
- Excellent storytelling and digital writing skills.
- Familiarity with design tools such as Canva and Adobe Express.
- Experience with social media scheduling tools such as Meta Suite, Buffer, or Hootsuite.
- Understanding of how to adapt tone, format, and messaging across different platforms.
- Ability to transform creative briefs into platform-specific content strategies.
- Strong awareness of youth culture, digital trends, and learning content dynamics.
- Familiarity with analytics tools such as Meta Insights and YouTube Studio.
- Basic video editing skills are an advantage.
- Mobile photography and videography skills are a strong plus.
- Strong attention to detail, grammar, accuracy, and brand consistency.
Collaboration and Approval Workflow
- The Content Creator will report to the Head of Operations and Creative Lead.
- The role will collaborate with the design, content, and campaigns teams.
- Content calendars and key posts are subject to weekly review and approval.
Quality Control Expectations
The successful candidate is expected to:
- Maintain a brand-aligned tone, visual identity, and messaging across all content.
- Ensure all published content is free from spelling and grammar errors.
- Avoid misinformation and ensure content is accurate.
- Respond promptly to relevant trends while maintaining educational value.
- Deliver content consistently and within agreed timelines.
