Blue Crescent Schools is recruiting to fill the position of Agricultural Science Teacher in Sokoto State.
Blue Crescent Schools is a co-educational private school located in the Mabera area of Sokoto. Established in 1996, the school provides education from early childhood through senior secondary school.
The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching Agricultural Science and supporting students’ academic and moral development.
Responsibilities
The Agricultural Science Teacher will be expected to:
- Teach Agricultural Science effectively in accordance with the school’s curriculum.
- Prepare engaging lessons and learning materials.
- Assess students’ academic progress and provide appropriate feedback.
- Support students in developing a strong understanding of Agricultural Science concepts.
- Promote students’ academic and moral development.
- Use ICT tools to enhance teaching and learning.
- Work collaboratively with other teachers and school staff.
- Participate in relevant school activities and programmes.
- Maintain a positive and supportive classroom environment.
Requirements
Applicants should possess:
- NCE, B.Ed, HND or a Bachelor’s degree in the relevant subject.
- Strong knowledge of Agricultural Science.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Commitment to students’ academic and moral development.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Ability to incorporate ICT into teaching and learning.
- Previous teaching experience is an added advantage.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal Agricultural Science Teacher should have strong subject knowledge, good classroom communication skills and a genuine commitment to helping students achieve their academic and personal potential.
Candidates with previous teaching experience and the ability to use technology effectively in the classroom will have an advantage.
