Job Overview
Prophs Excellence Services is recruiting on behalf of a leading Oil & Gas company for an experienced Commercial Advisor (Oil & Gas Sector).
The successful candidate will support project execution, commercial strategy, contract management, cost control, negotiations, risk management, and business delivery across energy-sector projects.
Strong experience in Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) projects, mainstream oil and gas operations, and gas generator or power generation projects is required for this position.
Key Responsibilities
Commercial and Project Management
- Manage commercial activities across EPC and energy projects.
- Provide commercial guidance throughout the project lifecycle.
- Support project teams in meeting commercial and contractual requirements.
- Monitor project performance, budgets, and contractual obligations.
- Contribute to effective project delivery and business outcomes.
Contract Management
- Review contracts, commercial terms, and project agreements.
- Monitor contractual obligations and identify potential commercial risks.
- Support contract negotiations and commercial discussions.
- Ensure project activities remain aligned with agreed contractual terms.
Cost Control and Risk Management
- Support project cost control activities.
- Monitor budgets and commercial performance.
- Identify and assess commercial and project risks.
- Provide recommendations to support effective risk management and project delivery.
Stakeholder Collaboration
- Work closely with engineering, procurement, construction, and project teams.
- Provide commercial input to project-related decisions.
- Support effective communication and coordination among key project stakeholders.
- Contribute commercial expertise to energy, infrastructure, and gas development projects.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Proven experience working as a Commercial Advisor within the Oil & Gas sector.
- Strong EPC project experience is mandatory.
- Experience in mainstream oil and gas operations.
- Experience with gas generator or power generation projects.
- Strong understanding of contracts, procurement, and project delivery.
- Excellent negotiation and analytical skills.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication abilities.
- Experience supporting major energy, infrastructure, or gas development projects is an advantage.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal Commercial Advisor should have strong commercial and contractual knowledge combined with practical experience in the oil and gas and energy sectors.
Candidates with experience relevant to Oil and Gas Jobs in Lagos, EPC Jobs in Nigeria, Contract Management Jobs, and Energy Sector Jobs will be well suited to the role.
The successful candidate should be commercially aware, analytical, detail-oriented, and capable of working effectively with multidisciplinary project teams.
Salary
N400,000 – N450,000 monthly
