Job Summary
Jaza Energy is recruiting a Regional Service Engineer to oversee technical operations and lead a team of Field Service Engineers across its regional network.
The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining reliable energy systems, maximizing power availability and uptime, troubleshooting technical issues, and supporting the setup and maintenance of new energy hubs.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise Field Service Engineers across the region.
- Oversee the setup and commissioning of new energy hubs.
- Ensure reliable connectivity and operational readiness of hub energy systems.
- Conduct and coordinate regular maintenance of solar and energy systems.
- Monitor energy uptime and identify opportunities to improve system performance.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical and electrical issues affecting hub operations.
- Guide Field Service Engineers in implementing effective technical and maintenance practices.
- Coach and develop field engineering teams through regular training and professional development.
- Review reports submitted by Field Service Engineers regarding hub performance and technical issues.
- Collate monthly technical reports and share performance updates with management.
- Prepare monthly performance review reports covering power availability and system performance.
- Collaborate with Jaza Stars, Regional Coordinators, the Network Operations Centre (NOC) data team, and Field Service Engineers to diagnose and resolve technical challenges.
- Analyze operational data to identify recurring issues and opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Ensure technical activities comply with established safety and HSE standards.
- Report directly to the Technical Manager and support effective implementation of technical protocols.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives involving system reliability, maintenance, reporting, and technical operations.
- Travel within the assigned region and other parts of Nigeria as required to support operational expansion.
Requirements and Qualifications
Candidates should have:
- Strong practical expertise and understanding of energy and solar power systems.
- A minimum of 6 years of technical or engineering leadership experience in telecommunications, energy, or a related industry.
- Demonstrable hands-on experience with solar systems.
- Strong knowledge of solar installation and maintenance.
- Experience with electrical design, installation, and maintenance.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to identify, investigate, and implement solutions to complex technical challenges.
