About the Role
The Science Teacher will be responsible for delivering engaging, practical, and learner-centred Science lessons. The successful candidate will help students develop curiosity, critical thinking, problem-solving abilities, and a strong understanding of scientific concepts.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver well-structured, engaging Science lessons.
- Use practical, interactive, and age-appropriate teaching methods to make scientific concepts easy to understand.
- Prepare lesson plans, instructional materials, assignments, classwork, and assessments.
- Assess students’ academic progress and provide constructive feedback.
- Maintain effective classroom management and create a positive learning environment.
- Encourage scientific inquiry, critical thinking, problem-solving, and practical learning.
- Integrate appropriate technology and modern teaching strategies into classroom instruction.
- Provide appropriate support for learners with different abilities and learning needs.
- Collaborate with other teachers and contribute to the school’s academic programmes.
- Support students’ academic and personal development.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree or NCE in Science, Education, or a relevant Science-related discipline.
- Minimum of 2 years of teaching experience in a reputable school.
- Strong knowledge of the relevant Science curriculum.
- Excellent classroom management and lesson delivery skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to make Science lessons engaging, practical, and easy to understand.
- Proficiency in modern teaching methods and digital tools.
- Passion for teaching and commitment to students’ academic and personal growth.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a professional teaching team.
