Job Summary
The Banker, Business will be responsible for managing and developing relationships with business customers, particularly small businesses. The role requires strong relationship management, sales, customer understanding, and product knowledge to identify opportunities, deliver suitable banking solutions, and drive business profitability.
The successful candidate should have relevant experience within the financial industry and demonstrate the ability to understand customer needs, manage accounts, and contribute effectively to a high-performing banking team.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain strong relationships with business and small-business customers.
- Identify customer needs and recommend suitable banking products and financial solutions.
- Drive customer acquisition, retention, and profitability through effective sales activities.
- Manage existing customer relationships and identify opportunities for business growth.
- Support account opening, account maintenance, and related customer service processes.
- Verify customer applications and submissions in line with applicable procedures.
- Demonstrate strong knowledge of banking products and services.
- Use relevant product-related systems effectively to support customer and business banking activities.
- Monitor customer information and business needs to identify opportunities for cross-selling and relationship growth.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve business and customer service objectives.
Qualifications and Experience
- First Degree in any field.
- 3–6 years of relevant work experience.
- Cognate experience in sales and relationship management, with the ability to build customer relationships and drive profitability.
- Experience in the financial services industry.
- Experience managing small-business customers is required.
