Bell Oil and Gas is recruiting a Logistics Officer to support its supply chain operations at the Lekki Free Zone in Ibeju Lekki, Lagos.
The successful candidate will coordinate logistics activities, manage inbound and outbound goods, support import and export processes, liaise with freight forwarders and clearing agents, and ensure timely and compliant movement of goods and oilfield materials.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate base logistics and operational activities.
- Validate and revalidate inbound and outbound goods.
- Ensure timely dispatch of validated goods.
- Support Form M and PAAR processing.
- Ensure compliance with established supply chain processes and procedures.
- Prepare weekly logistics reports.
- Liaise with freight forwarders and clearing agents.
- Coordinate port operations in collaboration with clearing agents.
- Plan and coordinate shipment schedules, resource allocation, route optimisation, and contingency arrangements.
- Coordinate the logistics process from sourcing through warehousing and final delivery.
- Support risk and compliance management activities.
- Ensure compliance with import/export legislation and relevant safety requirements.
- Manage oilfield materials, including OCTG handling and storage.
- Coordinate transportation and delivery activities while ensuring regulatory compliance.
- Identify and resolve logistics and supply chain challenges promptly.
Requirements
- University Degree in a relevant discipline.
- Minimum of 3 years’ logistics experience.
- Knowledge of transportation management and efficient movement of goods.
- Understanding of international trade and import/export regulations.
- Knowledge of logistics processes from sourcing to warehousing and delivery.
- Experience with oilfield materials management is an advantage.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Effective communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and relationship management abilities.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Honest, hardworking, resourceful, and energetic.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Ability to learn quickly and adapt to changing operational requirements.
- Must be able to drive and possess a valid driver’s licence.
Preferred Location
Preference will be given to candidates currently residing around the Ajah/Eleko axis of Lagos or other locations within reasonable commuting distance of the Lekki Free Zone, Ibeju Lekki.
