Thinkers Base Academy is an inclusive nursery and primary school located in New GRA, Trans-Ekulu, Enugu. The school provides international-standard education while nurturing pupils academically, morally, socially, and personally.
The school is recruiting a Classroom Assistant to support teachers in creating an engaging, organised, and supportive learning environment for pupils.
The successful candidate will assist with classroom activities, support pupils’ learning and development, and help teachers deliver effective lessons and maintain an orderly classroom.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist teachers with daily classroom activities and lesson preparation.
- Support pupils during classroom learning activities and practical exercises.
- Help maintain an organised, safe, and welcoming classroom environment.
- Provide individual support to pupils who require additional assistance.
- Assist with distributing learning materials and classroom resources.
- Supervise pupils during designated classroom and school activities.
- Encourage pupils to participate actively in learning.
- Support pupils’ academic, social, and personal development.
- Assist teachers with maintaining classroom records and organising materials.
- Monitor pupils’ behaviour and report concerns to the appropriate teacher.
- Help maintain classroom cleanliness and organisation.
- Work collaboratively with teachers and other school staff.
- Perform other duties assigned by the school management.
Requirements
- Relevant academic qualifications.
- Previous classroom, teaching, childcare, or school support experience is an advantage.
- Genuine interest in working with children and supporting their development.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, empathy, and a nurturing attitude.
- Good organisational and time-management abilities.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Professional attitude and commitment to safeguarding pupils.
- Willingness to learn and respond positively to feedback.
