Job Summary

The Group Head, Commercial & Corporate Strategy will provide strategic leadership for the organization’s commercial growth, corporate strategy, business development, and market expansion initiatives across all subsidiaries.

The successful candidate will identify new business opportunities, strengthen strategic partnerships, support investment decisions, and ensure commercial strategies align with the Group’s long-term growth objectives.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will:

• Develop and implement the Group’s commercial and corporate strategy in line with business objectives.
• Identify and evaluate new business opportunities, investments, partnerships, and expansion initiatives.
• Lead commercial planning through market research, industry analysis, and business intelligence.
• Drive revenue growth by improving market penetration and customer acquisition across subsidiaries.
• Evaluate investment opportunities, mergers, acquisitions, and strategic partnerships.
• Work with subsidiary leadership to improve commercial performance and profitability.
• Build strong relationships with government agencies, regulators, investors, financial institutions, and business partners.
• Prepare corporate presentations, board papers, strategic reports, and business cases.
• Support stakeholder engagement and strengthen the Group’s corporate reputation.
• Monitor commercial performance and recommend continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

Performance will be measured based on:

• Revenue growth across Group businesses.
• Commercial pipeline development and conversion.
• Strategic partnerships established.
• Market expansion achievements.
• Return on strategic investments.
• Commercial performance and profitability improvements.
• Quality of strategic planning and execution.
• Stakeholder and executive satisfaction.

Requirements

Applicants should possess:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Marketing, Management, or a related discipline.
• MBA or Master’s Degree in Business Administration, Strategy, Finance, Economics, or a related field will be an added advantage.
• Minimum of 10 to 15 years of progressive experience in corporate strategy, commercial management, business development, consulting, investment analysis, or strategic planning.
• Proven leadership experience in senior management positions.
• Experience within diversified conglomerates, manufacturing, mining, steel, energy, infrastructure, industrial organizations, or management consulting firms will be a significant advantage.
