Role Overview
The Senior Product Manager will lead the strategy and product roadmap for FairMoney’s banking products. The successful candidate will represent the voice of Nigerian customers by translating their financial needs, behaviours, and challenges into secure, user-friendly banking solutions.
The role requires strong product management expertise, strategic thinking, and an in-depth understanding of Nigeria’s financial ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will:
- Develop and execute product strategies that align with FairMoney’s business objectives.
- Identify and prioritize market opportunities within Nigeria’s banking and fintech landscape.
- Work closely with engineering teams to build scalable and reliable banking platforms.
- Represent customer needs by incorporating insights into product design and development.
- Collaborate with Engineering, Growth, Design, Data Science, Risk, Compliance, and Operations teams to develop and refine product roadmaps.
- Use customer research, analytics, and market data to make informed product decisions.
- Manage the complete product lifecycle from concept to launch.
- Ensure products meet quality standards, regulatory requirements, and business objectives.
Requirements
Applicants should possess:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
- A Master’s degree is an added advantage.
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience as a Product Manager.
- Practical experience building banking or payment products such as transfers, cards, bill payments, wallets, or bank accounts.
- Strong understanding of Nigerian customers and the local financial ecosystem.
- Proven experience launching successful fintech products at scale.
- Strong analytical and data-driven decision-making skills.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management abilities.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a strong focus on achieving key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Previous experience in a leading Nigerian fintech company or bank is an added advantage.
