Job Objective
The Case Manager will ensure that enrollees receive appropriate medical care in line with internationally accepted clinical guidelines while promoting cost efficiency. The successful candidate will coordinate patient care across healthcare providers and specialists to ensure continuity, quality, and positive treatment outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
As a Case Manager, you will:
- Manage admitted enrollees and oversee case management throughout hospitalization and post-discharge.
- Conduct hospital visits when required to monitor patient care.
- Provide follow-up care and counselling through virtual or physical consultations.
- Approve and monitor complex and intensive care cases.
- Ensure patient care aligns with approved healthcare benefits and clinical guidelines.
- Coordinate approvals and monitor patient treatment progress.
- Schedule patients for major and highly specialized medical procedures.
- Review care plans for admitted patients and complex secondary or tertiary care cases.
- Participate in monthly clinical meetings to review cases and improve treatment protocols.
- Investigate the root causes of enrollee deaths occurring at partner hospitals.
- Identify quality gaps in patient care and provide recommendations to healthcare providers to prevent future occurrences.
Educational and Professional Qualifications
To qualify for this Case Manager position, applicants should possess:
- MBBS degree from a reputable tertiary institution.
- MBA, Master of Public Health (MPH), or an equivalent postgraduate qualification will be an added advantage.
Experience
Applicants must have:
- 3–5 years of total clinical work experience.
