Job Description
Infratel Africa is seeking a skilled Core and Network Engineer to support the design, deployment, maintenance, and optimization of its transmission and IP core network infrastructure. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring reliable connectivity across rural and semi-urban locations.
Job Requirements
Applicants should possess the following qualifications and experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related discipline.
- 2 to 5 years of experience in transmission and IP networking.
- Strong hands-on experience with IP core routing and switching.
- Experience working with satellite or microwave transmission systems.
- Good understanding of routing protocols and network segmentation.
- Excellent troubleshooting and fault isolation skills.
- Experience supporting multi-site or rural network deployments will be an added advantage.
Preferred Certifications
Candidates with any of the following certifications will have an advantage:
- CCNP or an equivalent IP networking certification.
- Transmission or microwave vendor certifications.
