Job Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
IT Audit and Assurance
- Conduct IT audits to evaluate the effectiveness of risk management and internal controls.
- Review IT systems, platforms, and General IT Controls (GITC).
- Assess Computer-Assisted Audit Techniques (CAATs) and technology projects.
- Provide assurance and consulting services on technology-related risks.
Technology Risk Reviews
Perform audits covering:
- Cybersecurity controls
- IT governance
- Cloud computing
- Business Continuity Management (BCM)
- Disaster Recovery (DR)
- Change Management
- Logical Access Management
- Data backup processes
- IT operations
- IT service providers
- Regulatory compliance, including SWIFT and PCI-DSS requirements
- Pre-implementation and post-implementation reviews of IT projects
Audit Execution
- Review hardware, operating systems, databases, applications, and network infrastructure.
- Evaluate application controls and general IT controls.
- Review system development, programming, operational, and security procedures.
- Assess backup, disaster recovery, and maintenance processes.
- Perform audits in line with Group Internal Audit methodology and Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA) standards.
- Prepare audit reports, discuss findings with management, and monitor action plans.
- Express audit opinions on residual risks and internal controls.
- Resolve audit-related issues with business units where necessary.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Collaborate with the RMB Nigeria Internal Audit team and the wider Africa IT Audit team.
- Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders.
- Deliver valuable audit insights and recommendations.
- Conduct process audits and other investigations as assigned by the Chief Audit Executive.
Requirements
Interested candidates should possess:
Educational Qualification
- Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems or a related discipline.
Experience
- Minimum of four years’ experience in:
- IT Audit
- Process Audit
- Risk Management
- Technology Assurance
- Strong experience conducting:
- General IT Controls Reviews
- Application Controls Reviews
- Computer-Assisted Audit Techniques (CAATs)
- Project Auditing
- Good understanding of:
- IT Governance
- Cybersecurity
- Regulatory compliance
- Technology risk frameworks
Professional Certifications
The following certifications are highly desirable:
- ACCA
- CISA

Technical Skills
